Mentorship
Become a Mentor or a Mentee: Elevate Your Impact with APISBMA's Mentorship Program!
APISBMA is proud to launch a brand-new, year-round mentorship program for School Board Members, by School Board Members (“Trustees”). Trustees of all longevities are invited to become Mentees and veteran Trustees are invited to become Mentors. In recognition that education is a complex, ever-changing field, there is no cap on the number of years of service for a Trustee to become a Mentee. However, Trustees are asked to have completed at least two (2) years of service on their School Board before becoming Mentors. The APISBMA Mentorship Committee matches prospective Mentor/Mentee pairs based off of a detailed questionnaire:
-
Desired Frequency of Meetings
-
Desired Modality of Meetings (In-Person or Virtual)
-
Desired Areas of Expertise (e.g. Governance, Finances, Collective Bargaining, etc.)
